Major problem with migrate

Hi I have purchased a VPS (new IP address) and have copied both my database and entire file directory to the new server.

 

I have updated the config file with localhost for SQL server.

 

Only problem is that when I type in the new address, it redirects back to my live domain at the old server so I cannot test it!

 

I have tried clearing the cache. It is redirecting to mydomain.com.

 

Can anyone offer any solutions?

Hi Stephen,

 

Have you checked the shop domain name in backoffice > preferences > seo & urls.

if yes, clear that and try.

Hi Vinay - I couldn't get to the admin side because of the problem but you were correct.

 

I had to go into the backend of the DB and update the shop url fields in the configuration table.
