El Patron
I have installed the latest prestashop Prestashop version: 1.4.5.1 and had a question on how to configure it for: Run in catalog mode but allow members to log in and get the full cart/check out features of PS. This is for a distributor environment. While at the same time disallowing member account creation in catalog mode. We only want approved members to be able to sign in. Thanks in advance for your time.
El Patron
Distributor/Manufacture Configuration: PS 1.4.1 Requirement: only allow members to shop on the site. Non members would see the shop in CATALOG mode. Caveat: PS catalog mode is enabled for members and non-members alike. There is no existing method for displaying prices for a member only environment. Tasks: Enable catalog mode only for non-members (i.e. not logged in) Back end office would add members. Remove registration from the front end when in catalog mode and member only option set. I did it!...it works great!...now off to see if I can create a module to do this. It required just a few lines of core hacks, not sure how a module will do it. msg me if you need help with this. cheers from Medellin

El Patron
I have as yet had the time to create a module. If anyone is interested in my hack, then message me. It's basically six lines of code and a new db field. I hope to get to the module writing sometime later in the year.

El Patron
ARe you still willing to send the hack code for this, not the module? Hi, There is a thread here to help you enable a hack for this. The method varies by community member. We required a module solution for our clients, see here. You can review our module solution with complete site up guide. The guide is free and most useful for anyone that wants to go beyond the hack.
