kingoftheworld_87
Is there a way to automatically give free shipping to people ordering from a certain postcode? Or do it with a voucher or something?
phrasespot
This could be done by one of my modules if it could create rules by postcode. It should not be hard to add this functionality. Keep an eye here for a version update to 1.4.1 in a week or so.
phrasespot
The module is now updated and capable of doing what you asked. Here is a brief walk-through, ask if you need help. Create a group for the specific postcode you have in mind, say SW1A 2AA (Back Office > Customers > Groups). Remember to set the relevant group restrictions in Payment tab for the newly created group. Create a carrier, set its parameters as desired but make it available only to the zone in which the UK is (Europe by default) and make the carrier available to group SW1A 2AA only. Remember to create weight/price ranges for the carrier as appropriate and define the price, in your case zero, for those ranges under "Fees by carrier, geographical zone, and ranges" Create a Retrospect rule, "if postcode is SW1A 2AA then make the customer's default group SW1A 2AA" You're ready to go. Any customer with postcode SW1A 2AA will be placed in the group SWA1 2AA. Apply the rule retrospectively if you want the rule to apply to the existing customers.
