secondlevel
I am running P.S. 1.4.5.1 and went to seo and urls to insert metatags. When I try to edit the page it gives me the following error 'Cannot scan root directory'. Any assistance to get around this would be most helpful. Thank you in advance. Nickless
I had the same problem. Temporarily setting the permissions for the root directory to 755 did the trick for me. After I was finished I set it back to the original permissions. (710) Hope it helps
abellasmith
It may be caused by the operating system you use . Sometimes , in OS like Ubuntu , disable the root user by default . And you must check the solution given by nickless . It can solve your problem .
secondlevel
The OS on the server is CENTOS. not sure if this is playing a part in this scenario. This may seem like a really odd question but I am assuming the root directory is the main directory where prestashop resides? If this is the case the permissions are already set to 755. Any thoughts.
