kbrmin
I have had 2 customers today have the same problem; they placed an order and then needed to place another after the first. Both times they have an "invalid token" error and can not use the same browser to place the order (items won't add). Is this a problem with the cache or something? I need to solve this error! Thanks for any help!
kbrmin
Help!! I have my cache settings as:Force compile: YESCache: NO I was having problems that customers would not fill in their address correctly and Paypal would not accept the payment, and then they couldn't get back tot he address fields to change. So if I have cache on no they can edit later. But is this causing the problem that they cannot reorder?
tomerg3
What version of PS do you use? What version of Paypal? Were you able to recreate the issue? Can you link to the product that was causing the error?
kbrmin
I have PS 1.4.4.1 PayPal v2.8 I cannot recreate the issue myself and she says that she cannot add ANY product to the cart. It says "invalid token." I think it has to do with the cache because it is only these 2 who have already placed an order. Thanks for your help. tomerg3
It could be related to cookies (not having them set). Usually you get invalid token errors when you try to go back to a page (after navigating away), and the token does not match (Prestashop generates the tokens for added security). If you cannot re-create the problem it will be very difficult to fix / check if it is fixed...
kbrmin
Thanks for your answer. Will any of the Force compile: YESCache: NO settings help with it then?
tomerg3
No, those are not related. You can turn off the Token in the preferences menu, but it's not recommended.
kbrmin
If I turn off the token, how would that be bad for the security? What does it actually do?
tomerg3
I am not 100% sure, I think it's related to bots automatically trying to add to cart.
kbrmin
Ok, thanks. Just for your information, when I turned off the token the customer was able to place the order with no problem. So something about that was causing the error.
tomerg3
That's odd, but at least they were able to check out. I would say report it in the bug tracker, but without a way to reproduce the error it will be virtually impossible for them to investigate.
