[SOLVED] More information on the new products column is still in french !

I have installed the new theme 1.5 but on the front page in the new products column the word "en savoir plus" should be translated to English. Any suggestions to fix it !

In ..themes/prestashop_new/modules/blocknewproducts/blocknewproducts.tpl change

{l s='En savoir plus'}

to

{l s='Learn more'  mod='blocknewproducts'}

 

Then you should be able to translate it in back office to other languages as well.

And don't forget to do force compile.

I was able to open the file and edit it but still the same on website. What does force compile mean?

If you make changes and reloads to your page, it may seem that changes do not apply. This is because Smarty caches a compiled version of the page. In order to force Smarty to recompile templates on every invocation, you must go to "Preferences" tab, its "Performance" sub-tab, and choose "Yes" for the "Force recompile" option.

 

 

Do not force recompilation on production sites, as it severely slows everything down!
