csv IMPORT in 1.4.5.1

Hi all,

I'm testing the new import system inside v. 1.4.5.1.

I import a complete product (with all fields)

then I change the price in my .csv file and import again leaving the option "Use product reference as key?" checked.

It works perfectly and updates the price of my product.

 

BUT...

 

if I import only a simple .csv containing only the reference (used for matching) and the price the result is that the product is updated but all missing fields disappear from the db!

 

I explain why I have this need.

I wish to do a first import (more than 2000 products). These products are with a very simple description, so in Prestashop backoffice I will complete the description with a lot of informations and images.

But my supplier often changes prices so I need to update prices without re-importing all data, amd losing my work done with the description. So I would like to import just the reference and the new price.

 

In the previous version of Prestashop I already did this (and it worked) assigning a product ID. But it's not comfortable due to the fact that I must always assign a product ID in the csv.

 

Any idea or other workarounds?
