Zigma
Thinking of adding paypal as a payment option, is it any good (refund, does it work etc...)? Many bugs? Is it safe for a live webshop? Thanks!
Stu583
The module seems fine to me for live production. The problem lies with paypal as a payment processor. They can be very expensive and are generally unhelpful when things go wrong. I would advise looking into an alternative. I am currently looking into either google checkout (SSL required) or possibly a merchant bank account. Just looking at fees and subscription prices at the moment. prestabase
Google checkout would be a good alternative, if you are unhappy with Paypal. If you decide to go with a merchant account, be sure to do your homework as many of them are scams, and some do not let you close your account. Zigma
Google checkout seems interesting but its only for the uk and USA for the moment right? And how about the support?
ObsessionO
They are for the US and the UK only. So unless you have a e merchant account, paypal, which can be as you mentioned unreliable is the alternative. Also the cart for quite a few people does not work with the paypal plugin and the fix V2 module is not recommended for a live site, so as a back up it might be an ok idea, and if you have no other current choice you can try it, but it's in no way shape or form the ideal choice for some. I should point out that others use paypal and love it cause many are preset for paypal.
