capo
Hi i was wondering if there is a easy way to give a percentage off discount through out my prestashop store? Im running version Version 1.3.4.0 I know there is a way to discount EACH product but i want to give a discount on every single product. I also do not want to use vouchers. My store is www.afashionstore.com if you need to see it
Mike Kranzler
Hi capo, You can do this in the Back Office using Customer Groups. Please let me know if this works for you. -Mike
Guest
If you have all the product data offline also, then you could make adjustments by uploading a CSV file. We keep a database of all our products as we well in a number of location, thenat least once a week I import a CSV file to prestashop with updated prices and stock levels. You can set sale flag and discounts using this method
Elin-BioLivs
I am using Prestashop 1.4.4.0 and in that version you can do this under PAYMENT--->VOUCHERS----> add new (choose %)
Mike Kranzler
I am using Prestashop 1.4.4.0 and in that version you can do this under PAYMENT--->VOUCHERS----> add new (choose %) Hi Elin, Vouchers will work, however if you do it that way you will need to make sure that every single person enters the voucher code at checkout. This is why it is better to do it automatically via customer groups. -Mike
Elin-BioLivs
Thanks! The problem I see with your suggestion Mike, (if I understand it correctly , if not please explain ) is that the discount only will be available for "old" customers that I have put in a group manually. I want to give a % discount to a new group of people (that are not registered as custumers in my shop). / Elin
Mike Kranzler
Hi Elin, You should automatically have a "default" group, where every new member is placed upon registration. If you put all your existing members there now, you should be able to set the discount for everyone right from there. Let me know if you have any additional questions. -Mike
Elin-BioLivs
Hi Mike, I am not sure I understand! I do have default group! But, what I want to do is not to give them a discount but to give another group of people (new potential shoppers that are members of a specific club) a discount, if they register and by things from my shop. Do you get what I mean?
Mike Kranzler
I think I see... In this situation, you should create a separate group for these people. Unfortunately, you will need to add customers to the new group individually, although depending on how comfortable you are with the coding side of PrestaShop, there was a good suggestion on how to circumvent this here. I hope this helps. -Mike

ROB001
Hi, I have a similar question. Would anyone know how to do this for a subcategory? By this I mean have a percentage off all products in the subcategory given if the customer purchased a certain quantity of items in that subcategory? Thanks. Mike Kranzler
Hi ROB, In this situation, you can either create a voucher code that you send to qualified customers or create a group with a discount to that subcategory where you assign those customers who meet your requirements. If you have any other questions, please let me know! -Mike

Mike Kranzler
Hi ROB, I'm not sure of what exactly you could do in terms of coding in order to automate the process, but you can manually move customers into that group once they hit that threshold if necessary. -Mike
