Scotty501
GRRRR!!! Why is this always so difficult with PS!! So I move all my files from one host to my desktop and upload them to the new host. The domain remains the same. I export (without change any default options in myphp) and save the file to my desktop. I got to the new database setup with the same name for the database and username etc. I then click import and I get the following error. #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w' at line
phrasespot
I export ... What? Whatever you're trying to import is not a DB file, looks like html file, cannot say more w/o seeing the file you saved to your desktop.
spirits999
Did you by any chance add the HTML box module?
vekia
Did you by any chance add the HTML box module? what? why you talking about our html box module?
spirits999
No offence. It is my favorite module. I'm just trying to understand if that is a problem, as I have a similar problem. The DB has a <!DOCTYPE error when I try exporting it and importing it elsewhere. After I read up people said that it was related to a HTML having a wrong charset. My site has been slow for an unknown reason and its getting tough for me to identify.
spirits999
ok.. The error is just because the database exported was incomplete and hence it could not be imported.
