[SOLVED] shop will not load?

Recommended Posts

just installed prestashop and the back office appears to be fulling working, however when trying to view the site the following error appears:

"The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept

cookies."

Any helpful advice would be apreciated!

Hi tylrd23,

First of all, welcome to PrestaShop! There are two things you can check to make sure that you can get this working properly. First of all, in your Back Office under Preferences > SEO & URLS, please check that "Shop Domain Name" is entered as "www.yoursite.com" instead of "http://www.yoursite.com." If that is already set and you still have this problem, please select "Yes" below under "Automatically Redirect to Canonical URL." I hope this helps, let me know if you have any additional questions!

Thanks Mike, however these settings appear to be correct and still doesnt work. If we direct to our domain we get error 403, if we direct to prestashop still the original error. Any other ideas?

Cheers

Hi tylrd,

This should now be fixed on your site. We ended up setting "redirect to Canonical URL" to "No," and that fixed it for you. We are planning on taking a closer look at the root cause of this tomorrow, but your Front Office should be up and running now!

Please let me know if everything is working on your end so that we can mark this as solved! B)

Thanks again Mike, the front office is now loading but after clicking around certain pages are still coming up with the re-direct error?

(e.g. categories links work but manufacturers links do not, several throughout the site with the same issue)

Cheers
