Trevor Posted October 19, 2011 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Pretashop 1.4 > allows for the inclusion of counties and postal codes in the shipping section. I supply only to a very small area which includes a few towns and would like to setup the shipping so that it says there is no carrier for any town outside this area as recognised by the postal codes that I have entered in the counties. In other words I have setup my shipping as: Price Ranges have been setup Zone: South Africa Country: South Africa States: Western Cape Counties: Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Strand all with their appropriate postal codes entered. Now, when checking out the customers address (postal code) must match those postal codes specified in counties or else told that there is no carrier. At present this is not happening, it just includes the carrier for any postal code entered so long as it has South Africa as the country. Is this correct? Can this be done? Am I missing something? Set up the following States Eastern Cape Free State Gauteng Kwazulu-Natal Limpopo Mpumalanga North West Northern Cape Western Cape Set up the following zones South Africa Eastern Cape Free State Gauteng Kwazulu-Natal Limpopo Mpumalanga North West Northern Cape Western Cape Assign each of the states to the zone of the same name and the Country South Africa to the zone South Africa. Now set up your carrier and assign it to deliver 'ONLY' to Western Cape. Now when someone checks out who's address is not Western Cape will get the message that there is no carrier to deliver to this address. All the states and zones which are not Western Cape have been included for the sake of completeness. So when someone registers on your site they will presented with the list of states. If you don't want customers outside of Western Cape to register then only include the Western Cape when setting up the states and zones. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
