[SOLVED]Problem involving Internet Explorer, top cart block & layered navigation module (PS 1.4.5.1)

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I just installed and configured the layered navigation module in one of my shops (Prestashop 1.4.5.1). In Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera, everything works well so far. But in IE 9, the block "ppcart" (that's the cart in the header) on category pages (e.g. here) and product pages totally gets messed up. But as soon as I disable the Layered Navigation block, the top cart works correctly in all browsers, including IE. The problem is: My shop depends on both the layered navigation and the ppcart module.

From my point of view, this is not caused by a problem with the module positions / hooks. My first guess is that this mess is based on a (java-?) script compatibility issue / conflict which only affects IE. Does somebody know how to fix that (have a look at the attached printscreen to see how it looks in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Opera compared to IE9)?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

EDIT: I solved the problem by myself; it was an URL-related problem with CSS and js files.
