Carl Favre
Hi kingoftheworld_87, In PrestaShop preferences>performances, do you have force compilation set to yes or no ? And the cache ? Did you check other CCC optimizations ?
Mike Kranzler
Hi kingoftheworld, If you run this page through Google's Speed Tests, there are some really good suggestions on how to improve your page speed. Let me know if you have any additional questions. -Mike
christmascrackers
My site is also experiencing very slow loading times in the FO not BO. BO loads really quickly. But for customers page loads are reaching 10 seconds. I've been to iwebtools to check the site speed http://www.iwebtool.com/speed_test Here's the latest result taken just now: # Domain name Size Load Time Average Speed per KB 1 www.classic-crackers.co.uk 41.98 KB 10 seconds 0.24 seconds I'm running PrestaShop™ 1.4.4.0 As for performance I have the following selected in the back office: Force compile: No Cache: yes Use CCC for CSS - yes Smart cache for JavaScript: Use CCC for JavaScript Minify html: Minify HTML after "smarty compile" execution Compress inline JavaScript in HTML: Compress inline JavaScript in HTML after "smarty compile" execution High risk HTML compression: HTML is compressed but cancels the W3C validation (only when "Minify HTML" is enabled) Ciphering: Use Rijndael with mcrypt lib Caching: Use cache: yes Caching system: file system Directory depth: 1 Website is: www.classic-crackers.co.uk Can anyone take a look and offer any suggestions. All help greatly appreciated! Phil
Mike Kranzler
Hi Phil, I just took a look at your site using Google's Page Speed tests, which rather than measuring actual load time actually gives you an idea of how much room for improvement your site has based on its current configuration. Your page scored an outstanding 90/100. For some perspective, that is the same score Yahoo.com receives on this test. Basically, what this means is that your best option will honestly be to upgrade your server, because there really isn't much you can do on your current configuration to ramp up the speed. -Mike
kingoftheworld_87
Hi, Thanks for the response sorry for the delay. -Force compile is off Smart cache for JavaScript Use CCC for JavaScript. on Minify HTML Minify HTML after "smarty compile" execution.on Compress inline JavaScript in HTML Compress inline JavaScript in HTML after "smarty compile" execution on High risk HTML compression HTML is compressed but cancels the W3C validation (only when "Minify HTML" is enabled) on Use cache: File System Enable or disable caching system Caching system: Directory depth: is memcached quicker? and is it easy to impliment? devilsown
The backend is still really slow if you have many customers or many customers with many orders. It takes my server nearly 5 minutes to load some of my customers pages in the admin. I am on a 290 dollar amonth dedicated server. So it's not a lack of hardware. Just to many querys. I have submited it to the bugtracker but it fell on death ears.

devilsown
http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCFI-3613 Some of these pages have crazy query. I don't think it was thought out that some customers would order many times or have many drop ship address. I got some customers that i can go use the restroom and come back while the page loads.
