Watermark module

Hello!

I have issue with watermark module, it's a great module but the thing is that it appears on different places on different images and it looks wrong(I added picture how it's look after fresh install, with default pictures).

So maybe it is possible to make watermark appear in same size and in same spot on every image? (As I understand now watermark appears depending on image size/quality?)

It's a default module that comes with install - Watermark v0.1 by PrestaShop (Protect image by watermark.). And it's located in Modules -> Administration.

Hi Artizzz,

I ran some tests on this, and it appears that your issue is likely due to variable image sizes on your uploads relative to the size of your uploaded watermark image. In order to get a uniform watermark size, you'll need to make sure your images are of a similar size that is larger than your watermark.

 

As for the positioning, it looks like it is showing up strangely because of the iPod Nano image specifically, which is due to the fact that it is a vertically-oriented image that does not reach the horizontal limits of the field. Therefore, for that image the watermark actually is aligned to the bottom right as defined in your module and displayed with the rest of your images.

Thanks for your suggestion Mike. I was planing to do that but yesterday I inadvertently found some solution/configuration what can make things more easyer for everyone (don't need to resize all images) - http://www.prestasho...rk-improvement/

BUT the thing is that after this configuration on all images sizes (does not matter if its small or large image) watermark size is the same, maybe it's possible to make this configuration more andvanced and make watermark somehow appear on images depending on image size after resizing. (if someone can make it it would make this module perfect)

Hi Artizzz,

In terms of scaling the watermarks, the only way you can currently do this is by standardizing all of your images. Basically, if you upload all of your different image types (thickbox, large, small, etc.) with the same dimensions - ideally those of your largest image, the 600px x 600px thickbox is the default - not only will your images scale to the proper dimensions, but the watermark will too.

 

Unfortunately, that is the only way to do this right now, but if you have the ability to standardize your image sizes, this is a great way to do it.

My watermark is not showing up on my images despite uploading .gif image, regenerating thumbnails, having force compile on etc.

 

I can´t see the watermark module being hooked to anything under Modules->Positions is this the problem?

Hi ronlin,

Please sure to clear your browser's cache as well. Everything looks fine on my end with the watermarks. Originally, it didn't because I had accessed your site yesterday, but once clearing my cache everything showed up properly.

I deleted by occasion watermark module for 1.4.3 prestashop where can i find it?

if the images are already uploaded before you make the watermark changes you have to regenerate the images.
