esmith591
I am fairly new to prestashop and themes and css, so I may have missed something very simple and obvious. I have searched the forums for the answer without success. My version is 1.4.4.1 I wish to use the default theme -- but modify certain elements -- mostly just images, I think. For example, I would like to change the color of the block backgrounds and some of the buttons so that my shop will conform to the color scheme of other pages on my website. Functionality and layout of the default is just fine for my purposes. This is what I did so far: --Made a copy of the default theme folder ("prestashop") and gave the copy a new name. --Used the Theme Installer to make the new theme available. --Selected new theme and clicked Save. At this point, the theme's appearance is identical to the default theme, and I believe all I have to do is edit the images. So I proceeded: --Identified the name of certain images on the shops home page: block_bg.jpg, block_exclusive_bg.jpg, title_bg.gif --Edited these three images just to change their color --FTP'd modified images back to new theme's img folder --Viewed shop And I see no changes -- even after CTRL-F5 to refresh Please, can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? What steps have I missed? Thank you!
esmith591
It appears that there was just some sort of time-delay -- maybe from my web host's server side. I walked away from it for a couple of hours, and now my modified images are appearing.
