idoityourself
Hi I just upgraded to the latest version of prestashop and I notice I now have two warnings on the configuration checklist. A red warning for URL rewriting and an orange one for browser cache and compression If I click on either of them Im taken to BO > tools > generation Optimization and friendly URL are checked and I clicked to generate .htaccess file already Any ideas? thanks
CraigMeade
To get rid of the second warning go to preferences/performance and turn on CC&C. I'm still using 1.4.4.0 and when I turn those on it ruins my product page layout so I leave them off with no great loss in performance. But that's probably what the orange alert is about. idoityourself
Thanks, they are already turned on. Might be something to do with the caching down the bottom, Im still note sure what to do with that?
CraigMeade
I watched a Youtube clip about them, the advice was to leave the option off, which I have done. Try Google for the clip. From memory they were saying leave it off because nobody was sure what exactly it did or what the advantage was. So you're not alone in being not sure.
