ltempest
My website will only be selling downloadable products, I have set the config to be download, how do I turn off the delivery address settings when an end user tries to purchase something? I would like to collect name and email address (obviously for the receipt and download link) but do not need them to enter a full postal address. This could hinder sales, why enter an address for a download? Thanks Lee
Alt100
The simple answer is, You can't turn it off. Lets hope version 1.5 has this feature.
ltempest
I'd really hope that this is given a high priority in future updates. Many shops provide download only products that do not require a delivery address. I hope one of the developers sees this post! Thanks for the answer
apache1
why there hasnt been a download only version of prestashop for digital files has been dodged from version 1.0 at least i doubt very much you will se it in other realeases either, my reckoning is that they know they can make a mint on a module that handles just this and installing it on a main release would take that revenue away from prestashop, so its probably only ever going to be a purcahsed option
Danman
Yes true, the checkout process in Prestashop is not very good. The Presta-team should us an non-engineer to redevelop the human-interface and logic! "I hope one of the developers sees this post!" Itempest, maybe you could post your request on the Forge? http://forge.prestashop.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
