how do I get rid of the big ugly yellow paypal box?

Hi

I have a big ugly yellow paypal box on every page I want to get rid of. It has little mastercard, visa, american express, discover and bank logos in it.

Im a bit worried Ill delete the wrong thing and remove paypal payment options

Can someone please let me know how to get rid of it?

You can romove this by deleting the Paypal block in the Module>Positions. It usually shows up in the right column block. You can always put it back using the Transplant a Module feature so it hasn't been literally deleted, just removed from the column.

 

Alternatively, you could replace the graphic with something a bit more pleasing to the eye. The image is in /modules/paypal/images and is named vertical_US_large.png

 

Create a new image the same size, name it vertical_US_large.png and overwrite the original.

Thanks, if I delete Paypal block in the Module>Positions people can still pay will paypal cant they, Im just removing the big picture from all the pages?

Indeed they can.

 

This just removes the advertising image from the FO. However, you may want to consider replacing it with something else rather than remove it as it tells customers that they can pay with Paypal.

Thats great thanks, there is already another paypal credit card graphic at the bottom, far less tacky!

that box doesnt even show up if your using chrome.

How to I put something in its place now? I was thinking of moving my recently viewed products to there but I tried with the Live Edit and it sits above the row across the bottom rather than becoming part of it on the end, if that makes any sense
