Store not showing in store locator

Recommended Posts

I have the stores address configured in the bo however, there is nothing showing on the map. I type in an address that is 20 miles away from the location and have the radius set to 100 miles and it still will not display the store.

Please let me know what I can do.

I guess you are assuming the the store address in BO Preferences>Contact Information. This is not from where the Stores feature takes your store location data.

You will need to configure Tools>Stores

This will require you include the latitude and longitude of your store.

I asked this question a month ago and never got an anwer so I gave up and went to the simplified store.

I don't care for that either as the box the address is in is way to small.

Seems a shame to include something that just does not seem to work.

Hi, just upgraded to 1.4.7 - still can't get Store Locater to work?

If I zoom out to show the whole world.. My store is shown but way off into the ocean?

my coordinated are definately correct and have verified this with several sources..

also the default store (Dade County 3030 SW 8th St Miami Miami, FL 33135) is still on the map.. even though I deleted this..

page is refreshed and definately updated and current! - thought they would have fixed this by now?

tried specifying 6111, Australia as someone said the search defaults to America if only the zip is used.. still no go.

I'm guessing that if the gps coordinates bug is fixed.. it'll be where it should be and within 100km.. might show then in the search?

Anyone had any luck with this?

AJ

Hi, I spent today working on it and I guess I had some luck.

Just go to your themes/yourtheme/js/stores.js and at the bottom of the page edit this part

center: new google.maps.LatLng( yourlatitude, yourlongitude),

zoom: whatevet(I use 15),

For the begging you will at least be where you want :) To obtain the correct lat and lng use

Good luck
