MsrLeloup
Hi! I have been notified by a friend that since a few days his company virus detection blocks (McAfee) my small business website telling User: - (xx.xx.xx.xx) Policy: default (-) Categories: () Categories: () Reputation: Neutral (0) Virus Name: McAfeeGW: Heuristic.BehavesLike.JS.Suspicious.A File Name: - Media Type: - Body Filter Rule: Filter Name: HTML Filter Proactive Scanning: blocked potentially malicious program code I didn't change anything since about 3 weeks or so and all other online scanners tell me that there is no problem. Did anybody encounter the same issue and if yes, is it really some piece of coding in prestashop that triggers this or is it rather McAfee? Thanks for your thoughts! Mike Kranzler
Hi Christian, I just ran a few tests on your site and didn't seem to get any error messages. Do you have any more information you could provide me in order to replicate this issue? -Mike
MsrLeloup
Hi Mike! Frankly, no. The message is still there in a corporate network. My friend just sent me the very same error message again. I tried to contact McAfee to know on how those results are produced and how they could whitelist me (if it's within their discretion). I am not sure if this could also be due to a local configuration issue ... but if yes, I guess I will never resolve this otherwise this would mean to always get into touch with the local administrators which is just nonsense anyhow, sorry that I can't provide you with more insight then the information I already gave you. If I receive a reply by McAfee I will let you know. thanks for your efforts! Christian
MsrLeloup
Hi again! I just received the following mail by McAfee ------------------------ The URL [www.cognaisseur.com] submitted is analyzed as clean and no malicious activity found. We have manually whitelisted the files, please update your DAT and rescan the file after 24hrs. Thanks & Regards, ------------------------ I hope this solves the issue but still doesn't give me the reason thanks for your help! Mike Kranzler
Great! It sounds like maybe your friend has some pretty aggressive IT guys at work, but I'm glad that your site was found to be clean! I'll go ahead and mark this as solved for you. -Mike
