saynernz
Hi there, I've been reading about PrestaShop and I'm really keen on all the features and I can't wait to try it out. However I'm stuck on a problem that appears when I get to page 3 of the initial installation sequence called "System Configuration": I've entered in all my database details and hitting "verify" causes the program to appear to do something for a moment or two, but when it finished loading and the normal screen returns, it doesn't tell me either way whether the information is good or bad. I pick Full Mode Installation Type and opt to enter in my own email address (the test sends perfectly). The trouble is when I hit Next to advance to the next step of the installation, the loading screen comes up... but when it returns, nothing has happened. I'm still on the same System Configuration with all my details still entered. How can I get the installation to accept my database details and get past this page to continue the installation? The previous steps seemed to be all good, here's a rundown: 1. Welcome! - this was fine, no problem here. 2. System Compatibility - encountered no problems here, just a couple of reds in the Optional sequence ("PHP register global option is off" and "PHP magic quotes option is off") I'm just stuck on the System Configuration page. If anyone could offer any help or a solution, I'd very much appreciate it.
CraigMeade
Hi, it's been a little while since I installed, but I'm pretty sure you get an acknowledgement if your database has been found. So I would look closely at that part and ensure you have identified the database correctly. P'shop may not give error messages, but instead just won't let you proceed.
