solved there are no carriers available that deliver to this address

i have had my store up for a couple months and got in many orders. i have one person who keeps getting a error "there are no carriers available that deliver to this address" they have the address right i checked on the USPS site as well.

 

I tried with a different address as well and it allowed it to stay lower case but still said no carriers. The address I used was in a different city and zipcode as well.

 

i can not figure out why just this one isnt working yet i have 100 others that worked fine.

Have you checked that that address falls within a zone and that the carrier includes that zone.

 

Can't think of any other reasons why this should be the case.

yes it does. i spent a hour or two but i figured out the problem. some of the items i sell are one of a kind. It looks like i didnt turn on the option to dont show out of stock items. i believe the item was sold before but the stock stayed at 1 showed as available but was really out of stock.

 

i found this out by using one of my own accounts. i used his address and it worked fine. i went item by item until i got to the one that was sold before but wasnt pulled from stock. as soon as i added it to my cart the shipping went to $0.00 and i got the message on my end as well.

One of the benefits of solving an issue like this is the greater understanding of the software that results.
