Downgrade from 1.4.4 to 1.4.3

Hi,

 

I just purchased a theme on Prestashop and installed it on at Prestashop version 1.4.4.0. After putting alot of work into customizing it, i found out, that the theme was only compatible with version 1.4.3.X (which is strange because the theme is sold on Prestashop.com)

 

Anyway, is there any way to downgrade from 1.4.4 to 1.4.3 ?

 

The reason for downgrading is that I can't use the WUSIWUG editor correctly. For example i can't use bold and make line breaks in my product description and CMS.

 

PS: I wrote Prestashop and the referred my to templatemonster, because they made the theme. At templatemonster they just said: Downgrade your shop!

 

PSS: Alternative, is there a way to upgrade the theme to fit with 1.4.4?

What your theme have in common with the WYSIWYG editor ? If there is some custom module you have installed, search for the problem there.

 

If I were you, first I would try to find the problem and fix it.

 

If I cant, I'll just backup my theme and modules, then make a new clean install, and restore the backed up theme and modules.

I have no custom made modules. Everything looks good in the WUSIWYG editor, but doesn’t kick trough when viewed in a browser (CSS perhaps)

 

I wrote to Templatemonster, and they told me, that the reason why the modifications didn’t show, was that the theme wasn’t compatible with 1.4.4!

give us a link, maybe we can help you fix the problem and make the theme compatible

 

also, post the product.tpl file. I would look there for a compatibility issue.

 

 

Since I dont have a clue(for now) what the problem can be, maybe someone else should try to help.

As you can see on the product page, i can't make line breaks in the short discription and use text properties like bold, fontsize etc. All the edition in the WYSIWYG editor looks fine.

In the long discription i can make bulletpoints (if i do, it just makes the text black instead of making a bulletpoint, huh?) and i can't make the text bold etc.

Hi

 

Guys from Templatemonster seams bit lazy, as I think your problem is in one line

 

 

<div id="short_description_content" class="rte align_justify">{$product->description_short|strip_tags}</div>

 

change it to

 

<div id="short_description_content" class="rte align_justify">{$product->description_short}</div>

 

So only difference is your theme used function strip_tags which cause problem to you.

 

And one note that line is same also in default theme in prestashop 1.4.3 so you can say it is not quite compatible with 1.4.3 also :-)

 

If find any other problem with theme just compare file with same name with one in default theme in 1.4.4.
