Suggestions I made today.

Just for fun I created in my free time an online shop for our company. I tested many solutions (big and small ones) on the internet, and at last PrestaShop was the only one which worked for me. You did a great work, but I have some problemes, I couldn't solve...

 

So I would make some suggestions, if this is possible:

 

1. The possibility to set a maximum order value. In some cases a user can only buy 1 piece of a product. Maybe of licensing problems, or to give other ones also a chance to get the product.

 

2. Manual sorting of attributes and groups. At hits time it is alphabetically, but that looks not always pretty or is unlogical for the customer. There is a commercial solution (module) out there, which does this.

 

3. Define a payment method per article. Some cheap articles would have completly other payment solutions as a very expensive article. Also a certified customer will get other payment methods as a new user.

 

4. Define transport methods per article. A big machine will be deliverd carriage service, a software box will be delivered via parcel service, a software license will be deliverd via letter service or via e-mail.

 

5. Define delivery countries for an article. We are not allowed to deliver some articles outside our country. So I had to lock some articles to one or more countries.

 

6. The size of the buttons in the module shopping-cart couldn't be set. So in the german translation the word for shopping card is to long. Maybe if you can make the button for shopping cart and order the same size, it would work.

 

7. In products there is only one tab called PRODUCTINFO. So if I have more information, this is very bad for the user. It would be nice to have the possibility to create more tabs. So the user sees all the possible informations and can quickly jump to the intrestings things for him. There is a commercial sultion (module) out there (doesn't work correctly at this time) which can do this for complete categories and/or articles.

 

8. There is a module choosen-products. Normaly on the homesite. I can only configure how many products should be shown. Standard is 10. Nice, but I can't set the number of products in the width. So If I have only 3 products, 1 field is empty. Or if I want to show more information, there is no chance.

 

9. I have articles for which I need a stock information, but also articles for which I don't want a stock information. I can't use the download-system, because there is now download! I don't want to override 'allow order without on stock', because the user gets an e-mail he had to wait for delivery (thats not right). In other shops this articles are called virtual product. At this time I can only set stock or no stock for the whole shop.
