Another interesting thing is the blocktopmenu! it is a great menu module I think!

 

We can add product categories to the menu and if it has subcategories they will show up as a drop down menu - great!

 

But it would be great to be able to add a CMS category and have a drop down off all pages in that category - that's a feature request :)

I've requested that the developer taking the lead on this theme come on here for a bit to answer all of your questions directly, and I will let you know as soon as I have more information from her on her availability.

I haven't had a chance to speak with our development team because they are preparing for their Barcamp in Paris, so I don't have an answer on this at this point but I'll be sure to look into it for you.

Could you also harass them with another query: If I have installed the new theme on 1.4.5, then when I upgrade to 1.5.0, will I automatically be upgraded to the 1.5 version of the theme, or will I end up with a backwards-compatibility mode running 1.4.5 version of the "new" theme?

Did you ever find out the problem to no image showing up? I upgraded today to the new theme and I can not get my images to appear full size. I have already resized my images and regenerated all images 2 times, to no success. Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

 

Hi Mike,

Prestashop new template 1.5

I speed up my site as you told.

Still category block is very slow. Do you think it will be faster in the upgrade version of the theme, or do I have a chance to replace categories block with some other one in the new template?

 

And another problem is, I have several products without pictures.

After I imported my products with .csv file, the "No-picture" missing on the product page. I add ed the product manualy from backoffice, still the problem is there. In all languages the problem is the same.

I tryed to correct this for several hours but have no success. (ex. re generate all images...)

Returning to the old prestashop theme there is no problem. The "no image" picture missing in only the new theme.

Finally figured it out, had to set "Enable JqZoom instead of Thickbox on product page:" to "NO"

 

Did you ever find out the problem to no image showing up? I upgraded today to the new theme and I can not get my images to appear full size. I have already resized my images and regenerated all images 2 times, to no success. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi my PS God,

 

until now I didn't try any version of 1.5. Now I tried last beta and I am excited. Literally.

 

Now I completed change our shop from other platforms to 1.4.5.1. I hope in beginnig upgrade will be easy step, because my boss love v1.5. Me too.

How about integrating rich snippets into the 1.5 theme ?

It will be gr8 if rich snippets are integrated in the prestashop default theme. This improvement will probably generate more sales for every shop who uses prestashop, and for sure it will help every merchant to show his products in google searches, in the best possible way.

I am having an issue where I get his error window:

 

this document renders in quirks mode. Check your DOCTYPE

I am still trying, I´ll try to clear the cache too, but I still don´t know how to do it. If I get a way aroud it Ill let you know, or if you´ve found the answer, let me know too, please - [email protected] my site still on temporary ip host you wont be able to see it yet, but very soon you will find it on www.contrataja.com
