Adding a new column to Order page/CART

Hello,

 

I would like to add a new column to order page / Cart, for instance when the customer fills in his/her personal data, I would like to ask him/her from where is he / she heard about my products ?

 

It serves me as a validation that my salespeople are working, so I can pay them for their work.

 

Is it possible to insert a new column to the system ? How can I do this ?

Do you really want to add this to the form ?

I personally would not add extra info to fill in for customers as it probably makes your customer leaves your site and buy somewhere else.

It is proven that One page checkout for example gives you more customers just for the simple reason that they not have to fill in a lot off info anymore.

The less info a customer needs to fill in how more customers buy from you, but how more info they must fill in then customers just leave and go somewhere else and buy the products.
