benknackan
Okay so I have basicly finished my site, now just waiting on the goods to arrive before opening for real. RickieSee
I don't really like the background - it's a bit grainy and not great quality. It doesn't reflect the quality of your products. Other than that - I like it Good luck!
benknackan
Thx for the tip, will redo the background. U're right could probably do with quite much better resolution. Glad u like it!
benknackan
Okay so I've redone the background, U still think it's not good? I'm personally not 100 % satisfied with it... Any other feedback? Oh btw an1 know how to get it to scroll within my background when it's bigger then it?
Snade
You need a lot more classy look. Look at jewelry sites and templates. Choose something clean and minimalistic. You want to add somekind of "blink-blink"" feel to your site with that background, but instead, you should do that with large, high-res and quality product pictures. By my opinion, completly wrong color scheme
benknackan
Yeah I agree I'm not to happy with the background either, my girlfriend suggestion and well my demographic really. But I also think it's too much i'm working up with a new background a lot more minimalistic. What color scheme would u suggest?
Snade
I suggest black + grey, or white + grey. I've just googled "jewelry sites for inspiration" and I found these design interesting. http://revn89.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d22klrt http://champchoel.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2v048l http://gemicek.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d1ttu4t http://www.nakamolchicago.com/index.php http://www.harrywinston.com/ http://www.tiffany.com/?origref=http%3a%2f%2fwww.dreamcodesign.com%2fjewelry-web-design-examples-13-pn2.html&siteid=1 http://www.robbinsbrothers.com/ http://www.jamesallen.com/
benknackan
Okey I've redone the background removing all stuff that wasn't needed. Do u think it's better now? Also Rickie what do u think?
Snade
I can say its better. Why dont you try to use one of the free themes and edit it to fit your needs. I think matrice was a good clean theme wich i believe with fit your needs
benknackan
Truth be told I have not been able to install any theme. And I would rather not start from scratch... But thx so much for you're input
