nestawr
I really need to find a way to export my catalog including all of the attributes. The attributes for my products are different SKU numbers so they are separate products in themselves. I bough the advanced product export module and the spreadsheet it generates is nothing like the descripion or pictures. Can anyone help me? Mike Kranzler
Hi wcousin, Can you explain exactly what you're getting as a result compared to how it looks in the description? -Mike

The columns are not used at all to separate anything.
Mike Kranzler
Hi wcousin, I just spoke with a developer, and this is an issue with older versions of Excel. In newer CSV files, a semi-colon ( is used as a separator between fields. However, in older versions of Excel, a comma (,) is the default value as a separator. You can either use find and replace to turn all the semi-colons into commas using a text editor like notebook, or open it up in a newer version of Excel. -Mike
nestawr
Thanks. What about Numbers of Mac. When I try to open it in Numbers it says the file is too big.

This is the 2011 Version. Click Here for a screen shot. I've tried downloading the files using commas, tabs, and semi-colons to separate the cells. When I try with Commas Excel Freezes. Additionally, you could download a free program like Notepad. -Mike
kilwag
Or download Open Office, another free option. Reads CSV files fine, you choose whether to use commas, semicolons, etc when you open the CSV file, it even gives you a little preview. Same as latter versions of Excel do. Columns intact, something you can't easily view in Notepad or TextEdit.
