Module list missing after clean 1.4.4.1 install

Hi everyone,

 

Just wanted to ask whether this is normal behavior. When clicking on the modules tab (from the main menu), that the modules list shows up completely empty? I tried doing a clean installation twice now but with the same results (see the attached image).

 

I chose to install all the build-in module during installation (100+).

 

I watched the demo site and in there I can see all the installed modules in a fine list.

 

I followed the installation guide and implemented these recommended folder and file permissions. This is also documentet in this post:

If I turn on the display_errors setting: @ini_set('display_errors', 'on'); in the config.inc.php file I get this output:

Yes, I see that memory error in the bottom of the list. Since I use Plesk I can create a vhost.conf file for the specific domain with a specific amount of memory, but I'm unsure of the correct syntax as it seems to be different from a normal Apache when using Apache through Plesk:

 

php_admin_value memory_limit 64M

 

Would this be correct and is it enough memory for Prestashop?

Also check your file permissions for classes is set to 755.

ffs, as it turns out after setting the permissions to 777 manually on the config.xml file inside ALL installed modules the errors has gone away.

 

Can this really be correct, that this file should have permission 777 and if yes shouldn't that be mentioned during the installation guide?

Hi Vorwaerts,

777 permissions are not the default, but are a suggestion provided in certain situations when your server is not properly accepting the configurations. We do not mention it because this sort of issue doesn't occur with the majority of users, but that is why we are here in order to provide this recommendation for users such as yourself who do have difficulties with it.
