bexvlad
While pulling my hair out trying to upgrade a site from 1.4.1 to 1.4.4.1 I decided to delete the contents of my public_html folder and replace with a backup I took before starting. I was not amused to discover that the facebooklike and twitter modules could not be deleted, either via ftp or File Manager on ControlPanel. It seems that these modules install themselves with privileges that outrank Administrator. The only advice I could find was to delve into sql coding, which I am not inclined to do and believe should not be necessary. How have these privileges been allowed to creep into a standard Prestashop installation? Because of its behaviour I consider these modules to be malware. What does the community intend to do about it?
Dave L
I don't think the 'community' intends to anything about it. However, if you ask for advice regarding this problem someone from the community may offer you some advice. The two modules which you cannot delete I'm guessing you installed them using the installer in prestashop or did you use FTP to upload them to your server?
