nirvana
Hi, A user can change his/her email to an already existing email in prestashop. Is this a known bug? At customer registration only unique email addresses are allowed (if guest accounts are disabled) but from the customer account settings page it is possible to alter the email address to an already existing one - should that be possible, is there a fix I could add to my store? If I try the same from Admin I get a warning! I'm writing a facebook login module and I will have inconsistency when I try to merge user with same email adresses if they are not unique inside prestashop (http://developers.fa...stration/flows/). Is there anyone that can point to a known bug, fix, etc. If I instead buy a facebook login module that works for prestashop 1.4 - how have you solved it? Thanks in advance! Mike Kranzler
Hi nirvana, I'm not sure I completely understand your problem. Can you provide screenshots and/or steps to replicate this issue on our end? -Mike

nirvana
1. Register two accounts: [email protected] and [email protected] 2. Alter Bob Dylans account setting when logged in and change his email to [email protected] and save 3. You have now to accounts Bob Dylan and Bobby Brown with the same email: [email protected] Best regards, Nirvana

Mike Kranzler
Hi Nirvana, First of all, I'm honestly a little disappointed that you went with Bobby Brown and Bob Dylan over Kurt Cobain . But beyond that, I will look into this. I'm not sure how much of a priority this will be because this is something that the customer is changing for myself, and it will be on them to make sure that they are providing the correct e-mail address, BUT I will see if there is anything we can do to help you out with this. -Mike
nirvana
Hi Mike, OK, OK not [email protected] from Creed or [email protected] from Metallica works, I could go on I understand - I can try to change it myself but I guess it will be core code and it is nice to have it out-of-the-box. Since admin gives me a warning something has to be updated in the code. Facebook is extremely focused on getting correct email addresses since they use confirmation emails with approval link to enable the account. /Nirvana
Mike Kranzler
Scott Stapp will never work, and we'll just leave it at that.
ymountassir
I am happy for you guys that this is being fixed, but I kinda need the opposite. As i have customers that have the same email adress but are on different departments within a company. Is there a way that an email-address is not considered unique so several customers can be made using one email-address?
