Importing Multiple Attributes for Products

Hi. I'm a newbie to PrestaShop. We've just rebuilt a client's site and replaced their existing shopping cart with PrestaShop. The client offers training courses worldwide and the students can signup for the courses online. Each course has a number of course date ranges (beginning & ending) available for each course. We've configured the cart, added the categories and individual courses (as products). The only thing left to do is add the specified date ranges to each course so that the student can select the course date he/she wants to attend. We assume that the best and only way to do this is through Attributes. However, being new to PrestaShop, we're certainly open to suggestions of better ways to do this.

 

Assuming that Attributes is the way to go, we're trying to figure out how to create the attributes and load them with the date ranges (there are over 40 date ranges for 2011 and over 100 for 2012!). I haven't been able to find any threads that speak specifically to how to import this type of data. Can anyone help us? Can anyone give us a sample format for the import file that we'd use for this type of import?
