todd
I looked and couldn't see this anywhere in forumWhen someone sends a message from web site and I hit reply from outlook, it goes to me In address fields mail is from "website email" to "my email"... What am I missing? Should it not be from "customer"? I'm copping and pasting their email and replacing my own, but that's annoyingThanks!
todd
BumpAny help would be appreciated. This is kind of a hassle. I'm sure its something simple, but I have spent forever going over the settings and cant figure out why the email replies are addressed to me, and not customerThanks

todd
"that’s how the contact form works today"Not sure what you are saying, sorry. Obviously when you reply to a customer you want it to go to them, not yourself. So again, sorry, Dont understand the reply. Thanks!
TropischBruin
The contact form is send from you site, a.k.a. the from address is your shop.
todd
Hmm.. My last cart automatically had senders email in the from field. I hit reply and answer questions. Pretty simple.... It seems pointless to have my email in reply field. But if that's how it is.....Guess I will delete contact page or something and just add an email link. I really find that setup useless to be honest. Thanks for replies!Cheers
todd
Sorry to dig this up again, but this is just silly as all get out. And a REAL PAINThere must be some way to change this. The developers, for reasons that boggle me, have decided that when a customer contacts you, you don’t want to reply… I don’t want to be rude, but what sense does this make???? Why would my own email be in the reply field? Seriously, does this make ANY sense to anyone? If so, please enlighten me on what I’m missing here because it makes zero sense to me. May as well have reply field blank for what its worth. I have never in my life, in 100,000 emails, ever once replied to myself!I get dozens of questions a day and I have to cut and past email address into reply every time. And if I want to respond from my blackberry forget about it.Do people not get questions from potential customers that they want to reply to?I’ll ask again, why does contact form have my email address in reply field and not the person who’s is contacting me? Odds are pretty good they want a reply. So shouldn’t reply have their email address? It’s posted in the bottom of message. Why not have it in the “from field”I keep thinking I MUST have something set wrong because nobody in their right mind would make it work this way on purpose. Thanks! kyrre
Sorry to dig this up again, but this is just silly as all get out. And a REAL PAINThere must be some way to change this. The developers, for reasons that boggle me, have decided that when a customer contacts you, you don’t want to reply… snip... EDIT: The solution: http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/1457/I agree with you. But I don't think there is something wrong with the module, but the developers have not concidered the consequenses of putting the senders mail address in the from field when it's actually the shop sending the email. What needs to be done is to put the customers email address in the "reply-to" field. This is common for all kinds of form generators and "send to a friend" solutions.I guess this is a really easy fix for someone with php experience. I regret I'm not that person My second quess is that this is a fix very many Prestashop owners would like to have. Maybe you could put it in as a feature request? todd
RE: The solution: http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/1457/Thanks for the help!It works great! But the confusing thing is it’s not going to my store email anymore, but my personal one. I think the one I used when I set up maybe. I looked all over the admin area of my shop and can’t see it anywhere. I just see the store email but its not using it. Any thoughts on how I change this? IE: Where is it pulling my email from? Thanks again!

rocky
If it makes you feel any better, it is displaying my email address when I view the page. I think there is code that is grabbing the currently logged in email address, so you don't have to worry about other people seeing your email address.
