Help with friendly URLs

Hello,

 

I have trouble enabling friendly URLs on my site.

 

I've enabled the friendly URLs in preferences, done the whole thing with .htcaccess, but now none of my links work, fx in my category box.

I get an error (see printscreen1).

 

Naturally, this is because the URLs have been changed. However I have added friendly URLs in my categories so why don't they match?

 

I can see that the link fx links to 11-guld-oreringe22.html so I've even tried adding the number 11 to the friendly link in the category page (see printscreen2), but nothing works.

I want to know why the Friendly URL don't show up after I updated it? I've seen somebody mentioning about Apache server and htaccess.php...something like that.

 

I'm hosting my website with Hostgator. Could someone tell me why I can see the Friendly URL? If it's something to do with the server, may i have a more detailed instruction on how to get it up and running?
