Tropical Dream
Does prestashop offer this option? http://demo.opencart.com/index.php?route=checkout/voucher
Mike Kranzler
Hi Tropical Dream, It is not currently part of the core software, but there are many modules that offer this sort of functionality, such as this one: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/front-office-features/379-gift-voucher.html -Mike
pepfoto
Hi Tropical Dream, It is not currently part of the core software, but there are many modules that offer this sort of functionality, such as this one: http://addons.presta...ft-voucher.html -Mike Yeah. But how do you warrant someone charging €70 for a piece of software that utilizes the built-in core functionality to pass a voucher and send someone an email. It can be done in less than one hour. This is typical for Prestashop and Magento. Every simple function costs a crazy amount. Even mediocre templates are €60-100 easy.
Dh42
A 3rd party developer makes the module and sets the price. Prestashop has given you a great platform for free. Its like getting a car for free and complaining that you have to buy the gas or the aftermarket parts.
pepfoto
Yes sure, but this is not rocket science. To charge every buyer €70 for an hour's work seems a bit too much. I made a couple of modules for our own shop so I know what I'm talking about. By the way, OSCommerce is a free platform too, and the paid components for that are usually much cheaper. Most are even free, even though they are often more advanced than what we see in PS Addons. In short I agree with you. But there's no reason to overcharge for small functions? damietz
Hi, I now this post is old, but how can I use this Module? is there any Demo or tutorial? Where can I create These Gift-Vouchers and how can they be displayed as a product? thanks for your help best regards Carlo
touchdez
Why don't you create the voucher as a product in your shop? With customisation added to it, you can then generate a voucher code and send that to the customer...
