translation problem

I am trying to create translation for my module, from Russian to English

I used this string to future translate

{l s='поиск' mod='mera'}

mera - is my module's name

this string doesn't appear in translations for my module, but appear in translation for 'Front Office' (tools->translations)

and when I tried to translate this phrase to English, it can't find it anywhere now, not in module's translation, not in front-office's translation.

So, the questions are - how to back this phrase in list for translation, and how can I do the translations properly.

btw, word in utf-8. Maybe I should wrap a word in utf?

something like - {l s=thisIsUTFString('поиск') mod='mera'}
