OC2PS
I am looking for 6 items for performance enhancement: Store and retrieve images from a subdomain - they can still be in the same folder structures as the current PS structure...I can create a subdomain to point to the specific folder. Concatenate CSS and JS, move CSS to top, JS to bottom of page. Minify CSS, JS, HTML Combine CSS files into 1. Use Google libraries like jQuery Cache pages and support free CDNs like Coral Is there any way this could be achieved easily, in a non-technical manner in 1.4.4.1? If not, is there any chance that these options could be provided in 1.5.0?
Mike Kranzler
Hi OC2PS, I'll start with the easiest solutions, and let others chime in as they can. 4. Combine CSS files into 1 - In your Back Office, go to Preferences > Performance and select "Use CCC for CSS" 6. Support Free CDNs like Coral - In Preferences > Performance, add your CDN as a Media Server I hope these help, Mike
OC2PS
Thanks, Mike! That's already helpful. The reason I asked about these items is that I applied these to my Wordpress installations and increased performance greatly...loading times became less than 30% of original... I think #1, 3 and 5 were particularly helpful.
Mike Kranzler
Well I'm glad I could help with those two, and hopefully we'll be able to answer some of your other questions as well! -Mike
