webcrafter
I have tried everything I can think of, I have the depth (length), Height, Width, and Weight set for every product but no matter what the USPS module still comes back with shipping options that do not exist. One product in particular is a tub like a tote it is 2'x2'x3' Not the exact dimensions but the db has the exact dimensions, and a weight of 23lbs. Well USPS module comes back with all of the shipping prices for Priority, Express, and Parcel....thing is if you go to the USPS site, or take it over to the post office it is larger than what they will ship under any circumstances, after talking to the support at USPS they said it has to be an error in the API module that everything is working on their end and it should come back as not available for products that are to heavy (80lbs and over btw)..or if the item is to big, yet the module lists available and a price for all options....is there a fix in the works, something I have missed or what? Any advice is more than appreciated this has been killing me with this particular client for a long time and getting ready to cost me a long term client if I don't get it figured out fast. Thanks, Brad
webcrafter
Taking a quick look through the USPS module I am not seeing where it is checking for package dimensions, it simply checks whether the weight is within acceptable range. WHat is the sense of having the package dimensions in the database if they aren't used to configure whether USPS will ship the item or not? Am I seeing wrong? tomerg3
You have a 2X2X3 package at 23lbs and it should NOT return rates for it? are you sure about that?
webcrafter
Here are the exact dimensions even though it says 2x2x3 65 gallon.... Height:24in width:40in length:32in weight:23lbs This particular item has actually been walked into the post office and refused to be sent. I then went to usps.com and used the shipping calculator and when using just the weight it of course is not a problem..when using the large package and put in the actual dimensions it comes back as cannot be shipped. I try to turn off priority mail in the module and then set the package size to large or oversize thinking this will force the dimension being checked and it doesn't let you finalize the module saying that one priority mail requires regular or large and two no dimension can be 0 even though I have priority unchecked and all dimensions of every product have been filled in... I really appreciate you looking into this..
