Emailing from within the back end

Hello,

 

I have a client who's shop's client base is growing and they would like to send out emails to a combination of all customers, or a group of customers. Is it possible to do this? I have been looking for an option to do this but I cannot find it anywhere. All of the customers information is within the system, it would be good to just be able to select them all or a number of them and send an email to the selection.

 

Any thoughts / ideas would be appreciated.
