Attributes Not Showing Color HTML Option

When I add a color attribute it does not display the "color HTML" option for me to enter the HTML color number. Any suggestion on why it is not displaying? PLEASE HELP!!! I am using version 1.4.0.1.

In BO go to product page, on product page go to combinations tab and go to end of page and you will see some thing like: Choose default color group....also ur color group in "attributes and groups" must be "color group".

I had this problem and found it as frustrating as you! I found no solution on the forum and the only way I found that resolved the problem was when I upgraded. I think I went to 1.4.3.

I don't think this is what Pattycake means. It's the field to enter the HTML code/number that doesn't appear. As I said before, I couldn't find the answer and I didn't get any response from the forum. But when I upgraded - the problem was resolved. What caused it in the first place I don't know!

Thanks for the replies! Yes, Marronne that is what I am talking about. Kerm, although I know how to add an attribute to a product I am am not able to select an HTML code for a color attribute. As you can see from the picture it do not display. If you have a solution for this that would be great.
