SCLC
I was wondering the proper layout, length and keyword density for the meta page tittle, the meta description and the meta keywords. And also what role each section pays, as in where it will appear in search engines listings ect. I had previously known the 'meta tittle' to appear as the blue tittle on google searches and the 'meta description' to be the slightly longer description in the google search. So this 3rd meta aspect has confused me a little?? Thanks.
Carl Favre
Hi SCLC, About length and keyword density for the page title, it is good to write first the most important keywords and to have around 60 characters. For the description it should be max 200 characters. Don’t stuff it with keywords but use it to describe your website in an attractive way. You gave the correct role for the first two. The 3rd one, Meta keywords is no longer used by Google. I think Bing still uses it but now what matters most is your content instead of Meta keywords. rakepl
Hi Carl, That means meta keywords are not important anymore for google search engine ?
