introduction to Prestashop for dummies

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to help my [spam-filter] set up her internet site on Prestashop (version 1.4.3) but having great difficulty understanding all the technical terms. I'm lost frankly. I have no previous experience of internet site creation, just a regular user of a PC. In order to get started does there exist a sort of "dummies guide" for people like me?

Hi guys.

 

Although original post was made long ago I will try to help you start as Im newbie with PrestaShop myself.

First, you will need to ask yourself what exactly do you need and what do you expect from your future online store?

 

You should spend many h of work preparing project on the paper (paper handles everything) before you go live with your project and use some software. That way you will save many h later, and you will reduce the chance that you have chosen wrong CMS or eCommerce solution and that you need to start from scratch.

 

I posted some pre start questions before I chose PS as my platform.

I dont know for any newbie guide, but people on the forums are really great and will help anybody from advanced users and developers to just basic users. Just remember there are no stupid qestions just stupid answers and at the end learning and after a while earning is part of the fun
