Adding PHP script for subdomain variable

Hi,

I'm just starting out with Prestashop and have a few mods that are required.

 

Where can I add a PHP script to extract the subdomain name from the URL, match it to an ID number in the data base so that I can use that ID in the site by setting a session var or some thing better? One of the objectives is to allocate sales via the checkout to the correct site owning member. There are other uses as well. The var would have to be set before the modules are enacted so that the variable can be made available.
