[email protected]
Hi everybody, I would like to tell you that I've never had any problems importing my CSV until now. When I press Import CSV, after 30-35seconds all the screen turns into white and you can read: ERROR 500: SERVER INTERNAL ERROR. There is a unexpected problem that doesnt allow to the server to end the action. Why does it happen? I need help please, all my shop is stopped. Thanks in advance. Mike Kranzler
Hi Cesar, An internal server error is an error with your hosting service, not PrestaShop. You should call them to ask for help in identifying your issue. -Mike
tomerg3
Not sure if you solved or not, but it sounds like it's a server timeout. Most server have the default PHP timeout at 30 seconds, if a script runs longer, it will show error 500 (which is a general error). You can read more about error 500 at http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/content/13-fixing-error-
[email protected]
Well guys, thanks for your responses. More information about this problem, I tried to import the CSV with products WITHOUT pictures and NO 500 ERROR.I have all products in my web but no pictures. So, I should call my hosting, shouldnt you? Thanks in advance. cesar
AKJV
Prestashop converts images upon import into several defined sizes. Large images take a quite a lot of time to be converted. My advise would be either or a combination of: 1) modify large product images so that their size is close to 600x600 px (that's the default max size on your product pages) 2) split up your CSV files so that they contain less product (images) and import them one after another 3) ask your hosting provider to increase PHP timeout
