ginboomerang
Hello Boys and Girls, New poster and convert from Zen Cart to Prestashop, go easy on me. I'm creating a new store and adding products, these products are quite specialised hand made items with several options/features to them. I have created the product groups with the group attributes and added as a feature to the product with the relevant increase in price should the attribute be selected by the customer. My problem is I can see the groups attached to the product on the store front and adding an attribute from the first groups adds the cost onto the product base price, however, if I choose an attribute from the second product group, nothing happens, no price increase and not into cart, what am I doing wrong or is it not possible to add more than one group per product ? Thanks for your help and time. Mark.
Mike Kranzler
Hi Mark, First of all, welcome! We hope you'll be able to find the answers to all of your questions here. And second of all, your user name alone makes me very interested in these "specialised hand made items," but maybe I'm way off . Can you post your URL so that we can check this out for you? -Mike
ginboomerang
Hi Mike, Thanks for reply, my username pertains to dangling from nylon above a mountain, though I understand if you got alcohol in mind, I'm heading that way at the moment trying to sort out the groups. My store is just started, yesterday actually and here is first product added http://www.catrun.org.uk/product.php?id_product=10 Ignore rest of site, I haven't worked on it yet, that link should be okay for the next couple of hours before I go to bed and I take the site down. Thanks Mark
Mike Kranzler
Hi Mark, I was more intrigued by how the boomerang came into play, but the mountain sounds like fun as well. As for your site, I'm having some difficulty replicating your error. What version of PrestaShop are you running? -Mike
ginboomerang
Hi Mike, Ginboomerang is a performance paraglider. I take it you can see both groups with drop down box containing attributes, the default for both groups is 'none' with no impact on cost, however if you choose '3 feet' from first group then the relevant cost is added and chucked into the cart, if you add 'Security Porch' from the second group the nothing happens, actually the cost should increase by 85, are you saying your cart increases ? Mike Kranzler
No, we can see the issue on your site, we just were unable to replicate it on our own test sites. Have you assigned the applicable price to Security Porch AND clicked Generate afterward? -Mike
ginboomerang
Hello Mike, Many thanks, you have solved my non problem, I hadn't clicked the product generator afterwards. I owe you a beer if you're ever near WV5 7EE Thanks, Mark
