[SOLVED] Fatal Error short while after upgrade

Recommended Posts

I need help, I upgraded prestashop to the latest version this morning due to a previous error in google chrome stating that my site had malware on it. Once the upgrade completed I got everything working but now when trying to access it I get 'fatal error' on the main screen.

I can access all the BO fine, all orderes and user history is there but the front end doesnt work.

Any ideas this is pretty urgent as my shop is offline.

Thanks

Ben

Hi Ben,

You said you did the upgrade this morning, but Google hasn't crawled your site since August 26th. Your site should have no malware now, but visitors will be notified until Google crawls it again and confirms the fix.

While there is no fool-proof way to get a quick recrawl, the best bet is to submit it directly to them here: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

This should get it back onto their list and hopefully expedite the process for you.

I hope this helps!

Thats working now thanks Mike, feel kind of stupipd ive been doing IT support for 13 years now and I tell people to clear the cache all the time haha

I've submitted a request with google to have them scan the site for malware. Is this malware a common thing? ive been using prestashop now for 3 years and never had any problems like this before?

Regards

Ben

Hi Ben,

Don't worry, we all have those moments. Honestly, I have them more than most. As for the malware, no this is not a common thing. This is the very first time we have had this sort of issue, but we've already taken the steps to fix it.

I'm glad I could help though. Sometimes, you just need that objective look at your problem to take care of it!
