vnj
This is my first post so i hope ill find the solution.I've installed successfully prestashop in many hosting companies but i was dissapointed due to slow execution speed. So i thought ill install in a new fast tested server. What happened is i backed up all the files from old server to new one (including database and translation export). I installed then successfully to new server. Everything seem to work fine so i tried to update some sql tables from my old setup. This is where i found errors. The modules in the admin dont appear at all although on front office is ok. The order.php (cart) gives me a blank page and the contact on front-store doesnt show anything. I think i messed up the module and hook tables and cant give out the relation between them.So what im asking is what i can do in order not to go for fresh install again?? Please im in real need cause im about to lose money for uncompleted project.
TropischBruin
Using the search here you would have found some topics about this issue.First check your CHMOD on the catalog\modules.If you find that these are OK then proceed with the next step:The solution then maybe is to delete ALL your modules from catalog\modules and one by one uploading them again and checking after uploading each one of they show up in your back-end. Categories doesnt show up cart doesnt display and no footer in the front-store. Back-store looks ok. I found the initial error was due to 3 missing classes. What can i do now to recover the missing module.

vnj
The major problem was that files werent uploading properly. I found all the files with 0 size and replaced with the original. It seems that everything works except the checkout with bankwire. Ill fix that as well.

magroot
where are all those modules are linked? which files should be edited?i can read php, but smarty kills me...
vnj
You dont have to read the php files and edit anything. The modules in the BO are loaded according to the folders in the server. So backup all your modules and then delete the folders from the server. Then upload each folder and after each upload check the back office if the module appears correctly. Then you can find which module causes the error. In my case was an error while uploading the folders.
