SkydiveUK24
Hello,I have a small cart problem. If a customer adds a product to their cart, then decides to delete it... it states that the cart is empty however it still stays in the right hand cart box as 0x qty see pic below:It only happens to items that have product customisations on (text field) which is nearlly all of my products as they are personalised gifts.Any ideas on how to fix this please? TropischBruin
What if you log-out, clear you browser cache and log in again?
SkydiveUK24
Thanks for the reply.Tried that - same problem, both in IE and Firefox. Like I say, it only happens with products that have a Text Customisation on.Any other ideas?
TropischBruin
When you check in the database via MySQL, can you see it there? What if you have more then 1 product in your cart?
SkydiveUK24
OK, something wrong big time here. If I add several products to the cart, and then try and delete one or 2 of them, see pic for what happens!Could it be due to url re-write? I added a permanent rewrite to the .htaccess to allow my site to include the www. for SSL pages.
SkydiveUK24
Quick-Update...It's not an url-rewrite problem as I removed it and tried - same problem. Disabled SSL, tried and same problem. Used template that came with prestashop - same problem.
TropischBruin
Did you clear your brwoser cache after all of that? Are all you products customized? What if you use Firefox?
SkydiveUK24
Yes I have cleared cache and cookies. I have tried it on another computer and the same problem occurs. It is the same in FireFox also. Not all products are customized but 99% are. The non customised ones work ok adding and deleting that's why I think it is an issue with the way the cart reacts to the product customised text fields and colours. It's hard to explain but if you add 3x product to the cart, using different product option colours and text fields - then go to the cart and delete 2 of them - it messes up like you see in the above picture. If you add products that are not customisable, it's perfectly fine.If you would like to take a look at the site yourself and see, let me know and I will PM you the address. TropischBruin
I've seen more issues with customized products and I have checked the Bug-tracker.There are some issues with customized products.Maybe you should report it.
SkydiveUK24
Yeah, I have emailed the PrestaShop team directly and funnily enough, they can't re-produce the error and suggest posting on the forums (which is what I done first before contacting them) so I doubt it would help reporting it as a Bug. I have just been around a friends house and used his computer for a moment and got the exact same problem though - weird.I may have to leave off PrestaShop until this issue and other bugs are sorted and go back to other e-commerce software. It's a shame as I really like this software.I will hold out hoping that someone will reply saying 'hey, this is what is wrong - this is how you fix it' - until then, thank-you for your replies.
