Maybe have a look under 'Preferences' then 'SEO & URL' and have a look at the bottom of the screen to check the shop domain name is correct.

This might be an issue your hosting company can sort out.

Does your website say www.mysite.co.uk/shop or just www.mysite/shop ? It could be that the place you purchased the domain name from have a facility to keep the shop inactive until you tell them. I don't know this as fact though, it's just a guess.

Hi Andy, yes that is ticked, at the moment my website is on with a /shop at the end , but I want it on just .co.uk. Maybe i just have to alter the url, I dont know, I am new and its driving me round the bend lol.

Hi not sure if this is the answer - as I'm very new to all this, but I have noticed having loaded prestashop in and updating etc. (a number of times) it seems to be dependant upon the folder you initially load prestashop in i.e. if you put it into a folder called 'shop' that's what you need to add at the end of your url, however copy all the files to the main directory, then you would just need to type in the .co.uk address.

As I say, not sure if that helps, or even if it is the right answer! But I know how frustrating it can be trying to get something sorted, so I do hope it helps.

Thanks for that, Yes I think I know what to do now ( had a break driving me mad!) I agree it is very frustrating. The experts must get tired of us new people asking, what must seem to easy questions! I have had my own website for 5 years, but its completely different to this, and each version seems different!
